Puerto Galera

The entrance to Puerto Galera is nothing if not stunning, the beauty of the beaches and villages framed by palm trees, with the dramatic backdrop of the mountains.
There are four main areas – Sabang with its energetic nightlife, variety of restaurants, resorts and dive shops, Small La Laguna Beach which is cleaner and quieter, with some notable resorts. Big La Laguna Beach with its clean white sand beach, and White Beach, with steeply shelving white sand.
All are easily reached by bangka from Puerto Galera pier. It is a good idea to find out on the ferry if anyone else is willing to share a ride. Sabang and White Beach are served by jeepney, and tricycle.
Diving is some of the most spectacular in Asia, and divers, are well catered for with BSAC & PADI courses on offer from basic up to the latest technical courses.
One invaluable piece of equipment is a small flashlight, as the biggest hazard is walking into a taught mooring line after sunset-a painful experience!

Campbell's Beach Resort on Big La Laguna Beach have started a new Angeles City to Puerto Galera service running Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.  One Way fare is increasing June 1st to P1490, which is certainly not expensive!  Their info opposite -
